Leading aerospace organizations, including US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works, BAE Systems OSI have confirmed their keynote sessions for the 2nd ESTECO Technology Days, to be held on 19-20 March 2019, at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, Los Angeles, CA. The event will focus on Multidisciplinary Design Optimization applications in the aerospace industry.
On the first day of the event, the rich agenda will feature applications of ESTECO Technology in the aerospace field. Ray Kolonay, Director at the AFRL Multidisciplinary Science and Technology Center AFRL/RQVC will present Distributed Collaborative MADO: A US Air Force Perspective.
Gerardo Olivares, Ph.D., Director of Computational Mechanics at the National Institute for Aviation Research will talk about MDO Methods to Support Virtual Conceptual Aircraft Design, while Joe Bellotte and Adnan Masood from BAE Systems Ordnance Systems will discuss the use of MDO in Solid Rocket Motor Design and Analysis.
Ilan Paz, Systems Engineer at Crane Aerospace & Electronics will present on RSM-based embedded runway landing condition determination from aircraft brake control parameters.
Finally, Clifton Davies, EXPEDITE Program Manager and Kenneth Mull, Conceptual Design Engineer at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics will talk about the use of ESTECO Technology in the framework of the US-funded EXPEDITE Program.
ESTECO's President Carlo Poloni will present the role of ESTECO technology in two EU-funded projects: Uncertainty Treatment and Optimization in Aerospace Engineering (UTOPIAE), and Multi-scale Composite Material Selection Platform with a Seamless Integration of Materials Models and Multidisciplinary Design Framework (COMPOSELECTOR), both funded under Horizon 2020 - EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
On the second day, Matteo Nicolich, Product Manager at ESTECO, will present the VOLTA Workshop: Focus on Enterprise Collaboration.
