With two months to go to the ESTECO Users' Meeting North America 2019, Whirlpool Corporation joins the speakers lineup. On October 29th, Greg Garstecki and Rogerio Rodrigues will talk about "How to improve the accuracy assessment of our model predictions".
Greg Garstecki, CSEP, is a Senior Manager of the Laundry CAE group at Whirlpool Corporation, a major appliance manufacturer. His current role consists of managing all clothes washer and dryer simulation work, with a special focus on embedding system simulation into all product categories. Previous to this Mr. Garstecki was leading Whirlpool's initiative to incorporate Systems Engineering principles into the Whirlpool Product Development (WPD) process. He has been with Whirlpool for the past 25 years and has 7 patents with the company. After earning a B.S. from University of Pittsburgh, he worked 5 years in the aerospace industry before joining Whirlpool where he earned his M.S in Mechanical engineering from NTU. Mr. Garstecki has a broad field of expertise that includes systems engineering, structural and dynamics design/simulation, system performance modeling, design of experiments/six sigma, and new product design and development.
Rogerio Rodrigues is a Lead Engineer of the Refrigeration CAE group at Whirlpool Corporation, a major appliance manufacturer. He received his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering at University of Sao Paulo in 1999. Currently he is leading a global system performance modeling team in Refrigeration organization. He has been with Whirlpool for the past 18 years and has 3 US patents with the company. Mr. Rodrigues has expertise in new product development, CFD simulation, system performance modeling and optimization.
